Dying my Hair Orange in Lockdown

I've always dyed my hair, I think I dyed it for the first time when I was 15 and literally just dyed it dark brown but from that day forward I believe I have had every single colour of the rainbow! I think while you're young, why not dye your hair? Experimenting with colours for me is so much fun, my favourite so far was probably my bright pink hair I had when I went to Miami back in 2017 but then I also really liked my short black bob with a fringe- not so keen on the look now but it was very me at the time!

One day in lockdown I decided orange was my next colour! I LOVE IT! I really do think it's the colour for me. Lockdown has been hard on everyones hair I'd imagine. My roots are truly atrocious however when my hair is orange the blend between the two works really well and almost intentional!

Today I'm topping up my colour and thought I'd show you what I use and so on! I'm also going to show you the first time I did it and how the different colours of my hair before react to the new colour!

The colour I use is the Tangerine Dream by Bleach London, if you want something more permanent, choose something else, it does last a while but will obviously wash out and fade the more you wash it and what weather conditions you are in; the sun will make it fade quicker! I'm using this while I am in lockdown but because I like it so much I'm going to see if the hairdressers could create something a little more permanent for future reference. None the less it's a brilliant product which I definitely recommend.

The first time I used this I put it over bleached hair which was professionally bleached then I used the Bleach London bleach to make it more of a white blonde. I'd already used, violet and rose dye by Bleach London on my head before, so it had some faded colours on there too. Here is the before and after from the first time!

As you can see, my hair before wasn't in a good state, it was going a little green and just not looking like a healthy hair colour. Due to the previous colours over the bleach blonde, that is what left my hair looking so green and discoloured. However when the tangerine dream was put on then styled, it has completely changed my entire look. It looks healthy and the way I styled it that first day made it so bouncy.

As that faded out it faded to a pinky blonde, there were many different tones in my hair but mainly peachy pinks and blush colours which did look pretty considering how my hair was before all of this, it wasn't pretty enough to keep though so I used another bottle of the Tangerine Dream (one bottle does my whole head) and this was the outcome today!

This is the before and after and as you can see it was a peachy pink before and now it is that vibrant orangey red which I just love! I haven't styled it this time, that was just after a wash and blow dry but I did use the reincarnation mask after I'd shampooed it, kept it in for 20 minutes and it's left my hair feeling incredible!

I also use the coconut bowl and brush which you can purchase from the Bleach London website, it is reusable and brilliant for the environment as is all their products being vegan and cruelty free!

If you have any questions please drop a comment or email me, I've filmed a bit of the process but I'm no hairdresser however it will be apart of an oncoming vlog on my youtube channel so make sure you check that out!
