The first half of 2020 has certainly been a rollercoaster and not the ones we enjoy. For me, it has been a challenge physically and mentally, trying to stay sane through a pandemic and complete your second year of uni is a task and a half.
I did it though. On Saturday 6th June, I submitted my final piece of work from my second year at university. I'm bloody proud of this piece of work as well but the circumstances it was submitted under just wasn't what I'd imagined. For one I submitted it back in Birmingham and not in my uni's city of Leeds, I didn't have a big celebration like we usually would and it just feels a bit sad. Now there are far worse things going on in the world, I'm in a very lucky position to have been able to come home and be with my family, but I should have been with my friends, at work and at Uni.
However, I'm moving back to Leeds soon and I feel energised, ready to start my life back up and change it for the better.
While being in lockdown I have been losing weight as previously mentioned in another post. It's a journey I'm still working on now but I feel so incredible in comparison to before. I've cut out alcohol and it's given me so much energy and less of a beer belly haha. Don't get me wrong I'm still a student so I will be drinking on nights out, just not to excess. I'm certainly not having the unnecessary pint as well anymore!
I've also sorted out the way I live. I've grown up when it comes to cleaning my bedroom or sorting out clothes- something so little but I was awful at keeping my room clean and tidy whereas now I can't live in a mess! Same goes in the kitchen! I think this blogpost is a letter to myself to keep doing good, and remember this time and how I got my head in gear, finally!
SO I went back to my second year house in Leeds on the 10th June, I'm back now, and moved out completely! It was a fun house, but your typical student house so nothing special! However I can't wait to move into my new house in a couple of weeks. I'm sharing my new house with some friends from work which is gonna be brilliant, I'm super excited! It looks more like a home too, so stay tuned for the moving in blogs/vlogs on youtube and here!
By the looks of things, when I move to my new house, I'll be starting up work again which I am super excited for as I feel like my days will be filled again, it also means life is coming to some sort of normality even though we all still need to be super careful! It'll be different at work but good to be back at it! Hopefully I can keep my good eating and drinking habits when I move out again!
Thanks for the mini catchup, be back soon with some more interesting and uplifting content!
